Eat my money!

I’ve been to a lot of good yummy restaurants. Some cost more than others but I still have been enough to have my own preference. Heres my list of restaurants worth mentioning…based mainly on food, but also location and ambiance.

1. Mastro’s ocean club (Newport Beach)
Great food. Everything is delicious. The steaks are huge and seafood are great. The restaurant itself is too loud for my liking, even though we sat in away from the bar. . I was sad that we came here when it was all dark, but given the location, it would have been a great spot to watch a sunset. Restaurant is located in a all white area, made me feel like a minority for sure in there. it was almost racist. But our waiter was good..made up for some rude looks.

2. The Cellar (Fullerton)
I loved the food here! I think it was the scallops that did me in. I personally dont like bisque as my soups..so i had the french onion soup. I loved the location of this restaurant. The feel of being in a wine cellar was really different and cool. The restaurant a comfortable cozy size. When i came here with Joy though, we couldnt find the entrance at first.

3. C & O Trattoria (Venice Beach)
My favorite Italian resturant! each dish has a different flavor, even though it is just noodles! I love their Fettuccine Sun Dried Tomato. It has great flavoring and seems to have all the best ingredients in it. I switched with Calvin last time we came here. His Pappardelle Pasta with Wild Mushrooms and Chicken Apple Sausage was very good as well. Didnt know i would like other noodles other than Fettuccine with Alfredo sauce. yea i know i am plain and boring when it comes to noodles. But the best has to be their garlic knots. So good! I can fill up easily on these. The great thing is, the prices here are the same as Olive Garden! affordable and the service is great. Theres indoor seating or patio. And if you eat too much you can walk around on the beach after.

4.The cannery (Newport Beach)
This was quite an experience. I think it would have to be my favorite because of how much fun i had during this meal. We got to the restaurant on our yacht…yea i wish. But really you can dock your boat here for a meal. The restaurant pretty much sits on top of the water. The sea bass is good, crab legs has lots of meat and the Rib eye can clobber someone to death. One thing i always get is calamari, and this was one of the best i had. For dessert, our waiter suggested the Balboa Sundae, i was like…its just a sundae. dont be mistaken, there has to be crack in there cuz thats one good sundae! the restaurant is not super loud, but it can get cold.

5. Urth Cafe (Beverly Hills)
I didnt think i would say this…but i like their coffee! I came here for brunch with my auntie, uncle , cousin, mom and bros. I was a little skeptical about their food. But we started eating, there food here was delicious too! My mom got the Egg White & Spinach Breakfast Panini….and i wish i got that… The portion was a good size and fills you up. The service was slow..i think they forgot about us after we ordered. Small restaurant, almost seem like its trying to hide. This is one of the restaurants that i would love to drop in and eat breakfast here again.

6. Muldoon’s irish pub (Newport Beach)
Unique place! On the outside, this restaurant looks like a office building. But once you go through the first set of doors, its a different environment. The courtyard seating seems to be more fun than sitting inside. The inside of the restaurant is different. It makes you feel like youre in Ireland in a pub. Atmosphere is definitely fun. Live band plays here once or twice a week. The portion of food is really big! Dont overdo it. Fish and Chips is good! with all you can eat on wednesdays…got to try that one day! Irish Nachos are good and addicting. A fun environment and nice little hidden restaurant.

7. Crustacean (Beverly Hills)
Viet fusion restaurant that is known for their crabs. Order the whole cracked crabs and its probably enough to share with someone else. Their Garlic Noodles has a nice flavor but its a bit on the oily side for me. I have a weak stomach. Quiet Restaurant. Nicely decorated.

-} I loved eating nice. But it is a enjoyment and too much of a good thing kills it. I believe that the most important part to eating nice and eating out is the people that you eat with. A great meal can taste horrible if the people you are enjoying with isnt right. But when I eat with the family, loved ones, and best friends, it makes the experience and food even better. ->
