Revelation
As we finished studying revelation this past Friday in encounter, I couldn’t get one thought off my mind..
We don’t know when Jesus is coming back, don’t know when the end is here. We have the resources to plan and prepare for the end and for judgement. But yet we don’t use what is available to us. California is waiting for the BIG quake. We don’t know when it is, but everyone is preparing for it in every imaginable way. So we are more afraid of an earthquake than Jesus coming back, even though both means the end of our time for a lot of us on this Earth. Do we respect geologist more than pastors? Or do we just fear an earthquake, something created by God rather than the creator himself?
Times: unknown. Outcomes: predictable. Reactions: very different. What’s the problem here??
